Director, Brand Management

We are looking for a Director, Brand Management who understands how to guide a team to plan and execute that journey, while building strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the agency.

Our Brand Management team is made up of strategically-minded, detail-oriented, intuitive and inventive team players. At UPBrand, we merge the roles of Account Executive, Planner and Strategist to serve as smart and proactive strategic counselors for our clients. The ideal candidate leads this team and can easily shift gears between independent research, data analysis, strategy development, creative thinking, presentation development & delivery, project management and budget monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the agency’s effort to develop effective strategic solutions and provide world-class client service.
  • Nurture the professional development of Brand Managers. Set and manage workloads for direct reports and lead team resourcing.
  • Identify ways to innovate and continuously improve team processes.
  • Speak fluently in strategy and lead candid discussions.
  • Design research plans and lead the development of brand architecture, positioning and creative recommendations.
  • Guide the team in the development of multi-channel media/marketing plans and creative briefs based on solid insights. Actively participate in all planning processes.
  • Expertise in turning data into actionable insights that inspires excellent work.
  • Offer clear, accurate, timely and fearless communication with all internal teams, clients and partners regarding high-level strategy, forecasting and business solutions.
  • Lead team profitability initiatives and communicate solutions to team and clients.
  • Expertise in proposal/scope of work development using agency pricing models.
  • Expertise in anticipating and solving project/client/agency problems in a team-oriented manner.
  • Create opportunities to expand existing business and own the development of new business presentations and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Brand Management team to guide the strategy development process including brand architecture, positioning and execution.
  • Develop marketing plans based on solid insights, with an emphasis on digital strategy.
  • Develop and/or use consumer and market research, playing a lead role when needed. Produce insightful creative briefs for the agency team.
  • Ensure all deliverables support client strategy and marketing communication objectives, on time and on budget. Measure and analyze results of work.
  • Manage day-to-day project work, collaborating with the agency’s PROPS (Production & Operations) team. Communicate/coordinate needs with internal team members and external partners.
  • Build strong client relationships and grow business within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and secure approval of client budgets. Work with PROPS team to reinforce agreed-upon budgets and timelines.
  • Anticipate and solve problems in a client-centric and team-oriented manner.

Project Manager

UPBrand is a team of strategists, writers, designers, brand managers, digital experts, producers, goofballs and mad scientists, all striving to develop rewarding partnerships and thoughtful creative that makes an impact. One piece of that team excellence comes through our structured project management process. We’re searching for a detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing PROPS (production and operations) team to help keep our projects on time, on budget and on brief. The ideal candidate not only appreciates but understands the creative process, can manage their own to-do lists while also monitoring the lists of others, has great attention to detail and uses clear communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating and communicating a project plan, schedule, and budget
  • Assigning, monitoring, prioritizing and following up on a variety of agency tasks and deadlines
  • Monitoring project scopes and hours while scheduling check-ins
  • Coordinate and manage the creation of all types of content – with a focus on digital – such as creative campaigns, websites, social, digital ads, etc.
  • Creative and Digital team capacity tracking and management
  • Help deliver projects on time, while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Vendor procurement and management
  • Identify and troubleshoot process challenges, and assist in the creation of solutions to solve them
  • Other duties as assigned
