Baseball (and Winter?) is Back!
By UPBrand Collaborative
We're about a quarter of the way into 2018, and everyone in the UPBrand office agrees: We're ready for it to be spring already. Even though we've had our annual Cardinals' Opening Day celebration, we've also had some April snow showers. While we continue to hold out hope that spring is really here, we also continue to make moves within the industry and produce top quality work for our clients. Let's get you caught up on the recent happenings at UPBrand.
We have lots of exciting announcements with our UPBrand family! Our brand management team continues to impress and step up to new challenges. To acknowledge all of their hard work, Kerry Crump and Erin Barner have been promoted to Senior Brand Manager and Brand Manager, respectively. In other milestone news, Kerry recently celebrated her four-year anniversary while Lance Lemen celebrated his five-year anniversary. Time does fly when you're getting work done!
Our family continues to expand by adding five talented people to our team as we grow both our capabilities and our expertise. Introducing our newest recruits!
Rommel Medrano – VP, Integrated Marketing
Chase Koeneke – Copywriter
Sidnee Schaefer – Director of Digital Strategy
Nate Shryock – Digital Marketing Specialist
Rachel Thomas – Brand Management Intern
We were recently honored to be awarded a Gold ADDY for Exotico Tequila's Day of the Dead tarot cards (Illustration Series) and a Silver ADDY for WashU Engineering's “What an Engineer Is” video (Public Service Non-broadcast Video)!
Thank you to our wonderful partners for both the collaboration and passion for smart creative. It's an honor to share these awards with you!
A Look at Some of Our Work
Original music, heartfelt interviews and cinematic videography come together in this video for one of America's most revered music conservatories. Peabody asked us to tell their story to prospective students and reflect the pride of its community of faculty, artists, alumni and performance ticket buyers. The result was a video that resonates. It expresses the mission of this historic conservatory to educate excellent musicians who can thrive in the modern world.
Thank you to our talented partners Stephen (“Griz”) Grizzle, Mike (“Smitty”) Smith and the wild and wooly gang at Rockhouse Motion. Your unique mix of passion and patience is remarkable.
Engineering itself is a complex discipline that contains many areas of focus and requires interdisciplinary efforts to achieve success. It's a hard thing to define, and we welcomed the challenge. After researching the researchers, we put together a script that explored not only what Engineering looks like, but the philosophical underpinnings that drive progress in the field. The result is a video that shows, holistically, what it means to be an engineer.
Extra special thanks to our friends and premier partners at Vidzu Media. This one proves there's often a great story behind every great production. Just check the police report!
Missouri Historical Society tasked us with elevating awareness among more key audiences for their three entities, clarifying their positioning and relaunching their brand in the marketplace. Through a comprehensive discovery phase, insights drove us to integrate each of the three MHS entities under one common brand platform, conveyed through the tagline “Find Yourself Here.” After reinventing the brands, we launched an all-encompassing full branding campaign at the beginning of the year that would not have been possible without the flexibility and talent of our partner Aligned Media. Thank you for going above and beyond to make great history with us!
